Food quality is fresh and consistently delicious. Crab Rangoon, hot and sour soup, General Tso’s chicken are all some of the best on the south side. And their eggrolls are out of this world. We’ve loved Lotus for decades since they were in their OG spot in Greenwood, and they are still our number one in their new location.

We love this place. The hot and sour soup is delicious. And their dumplings are by far the best I’ve had in Indy, and great crab rangoons. It’s not a place you go if you want Bougie, maybe a little outdated atmosphere but they are so nice and their food is so good! Best soup and dumplings around.

This is how Chines Restaurants used to be... like stepping into another world. Atmosphere: absolutely exquisite! So many lovely details you feel like you're in Asia! Food: Husband had General Tso. It was spicy and sweet with crispy chicken and served with white or fried rice. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the sauce had a rich, smokey flavor. We both had hot and sour soup served with crispy rice noodles. The hot and sour soup was rich and flavorful with fresh spring onions. Service: Our server was helpful, friendly and attentive. Each staff person we encountered was helpful and friendly. (And each person could communicate well in English.) This place is a must for great Chinese food at affordable price.

This is my go to Chinese food restaurant when it moved to this location some things changed for the better some things changed for the negative like their egg rolls aren’t the same as they were and their crab Rangoon is just a hint sweet were they used to taste a like more savory but I have been going here for about 50 years with my parents first then and as an adult it is still great tasting food

I had a pick between this place and the buffet. I chose here because of the lunch items they obviously have on no buffets in the whole country like Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, and Kung Po is more rare on a buffet. They give decent sized shrimps that come in I think 12. A lot of garlic and very good. I prefer dark lobster sauce but for the light, this was a real good one. This is a classic more authentic style restaurant that I do recommend if you're in the area. Real good hot egg rolls too.

The new Lotus Garden is different but yet the same. Lotus has a new Chef, from China Town in Chicago. Loved the old Lotus Garden and our first experience at the new Lotus was also excellent. Our Server was Joe. Joe has been & still is great. Joe remembered what both my wife and I ordered most frequently at the old location. Joe works Friday, Saturday & Sunday only. The soups, hot & sour and the wonton are different but still very good. I had the Sheziuan Chicken, medium spicy & my wife had the Sheziuan Shrimp, light on the spices. Both were excellent, cooked and just right on the amount of heat & spices. Nicely decorated, clean several separate rooms and areas. Rest rooms were clean as well. Service was great as always with Joe. We will definitely be returning to the new Lotus Garden.
